Teenage dirtbag song practise

This was the first run though with a new band member i think it went really well we definitely have some stuff to improve on for example i need to learn the lyrics properly and we need to learn the ending more but as of right now i think we are doing pretty good. The focus for next rehearsal is to do more with the time we have and get it together more.

24th March

This video is one of many rehearsal we did for teenage dirtbag on Monday, however we only managed to get one recored rehearsal which sadly got interrupted. This meant everyone lost focus and we didn't get much practise in after that so this is definitely some we could work on.

 Whatever you want song practise

This is out first practise of Whatever you want by Status Quo, I think for the first ever run through it went very well. Understandable there is going to be parts that sound off. Since Jacob is a fan of the song and knows it of by heart he took control of the order parts and progress.

In this video i was deciding whether to join the band and sing or not.

13th March

The band performed Whatever you want infront of the whole class, I think it went very well for there first time performing it.

They didn't workout the singing situation there so none one singing and  they were just playing the song. I think as no one was singing the band got the timing of certain parts wrong. I wasn't singing has i had not learned it yet and wasn't ready.

24th April

This is another practise of the band playing Whatever you want, in this video they are getting timing and song layout practised, since it is a guitar based song  takes a bit more practise and time to make it wound as good as possible.

17th March

This was my first practise singing whatever u want with the band i think it sounded pretty good but there is improvements to be made but they are easy ones to do. I spent some time playing around with harmonies and deciding when i should sing so i now know my parts and harmonies.

20th March

This is a run-through of Whatever you want, sadly i wasnt there so isnt the higer melody for the song and it sounds diffrent. Ellie is unsure about the notes for bass, We the band has now hellped her with the chords so the next rehersal should be much better for the song. apparently there wasnt enough mics so in this video Jamie's the only one singing.

27th March

In this video the band is performing whatever you want, jacobs guitar tone was clean is it didn't sound right at all, he also also didn't have the chorus effect which meant the song wasn't close to the original studio. i wasn't in so there was no higher melody on vocals wich meant dynamics were effected.

31st March

In this video the band were practising whatever you want it was a good rehearsal but tom on the drums had some difficulty as the drum kit was electric so he couldn't move it and the crashes weren't working so it dose not sound as good.

28th April

this was one of our last proper rehersals before the show we worked on getting it together and making it as good as possible.

28th April

In this video it is another practise of whatever you want before the show we worded on getting the transition down and making it flow together.

In this screenshot you can see the different volumes i have adjusted for my song.

Different volumes make different sounds higher or lower for a great sounding song.
